She was baptized on 1 May 1836 in St Mary, Speldhurst, Kent.⁴²⁵ She was also known as Eliza Sale on 6 Jun 1841.¹⁸⁶ She appeared in the census on 6 Jun 1841 in Cottage No 2, Spring Bottom, Tunbridge Wells, Speldhurst, Kent.¹⁸⁶ On 7 Apr 1861 she was a [laundy] launderess in Common, Southborough, Tonbridge, Kent.⁴²⁶ We have copies the spelling of laundry in the square brackets. It would appear that she was a laundress, taking in laundry. She died in 1865 in Tunbridge Registration District, Kent.⁴²⁷ (March quarter.)

Eliza Sale and George Turley were married on 20 Jun 1859 in St Peter & St Paul, Tonbridge, Kent.¹⁸⁸ Witnesses Cornelius Stapley and Anne Turley both signed their names.
George Turley bachelor and Eliza Sale both signed their names.
This marriage would appear to tie up with this Eliza Sales' details. They appeared in the census on 7 Apr 1861 in Common, Southborough, Tonbridge, Kent.⁴²⁶ George Turley (son of Edward Turley) was born about 1836 in Speldhurst, Kent.⁴²⁸ He was living on 20 Jun 1859 in Tonbridge, Kent.¹⁸⁸ On 20 Jun 1859 he was a gardener in Tonbridge, Kent.¹⁸⁸ On 7 Apr 1861 he was an agricultural labourer in Southborough, Kent.⁴²⁶ On 2 Apr 1871 he was a labourer in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.⁴²⁸ On 3 Apr 1881 he was a carter in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.⁴²⁹ Eliza Sale and George Turley had the following children:

Frances Sarah Turley was born in 1860 in Speldhurst, Kent.426,430 (September quarter 1860, Tunbridge Registration District.) She is recorded as 4 months old in the 1861 census, but this would seem to be incorrect, and she might be as much as 9 months old. She appeared in the census on 7 Apr 1861 in Common, Southborough, Tonbridge, Kent.426 She appeared in the census on 2 Apr 1871 in 17 North Street, Tunbridge Wells, Tunbridge, Kent.428 She is 4 months old in the census.
