STEWART was born on 10 May 1896 in Stratford, London.156,315 He
appeared in the census in 1901 in 32 Woodstock Road, East Ham, Essex.314 He died on 2 Aug 1969 in Huntingdon,
Cambridgeshire.156,315 He was a baker/pastry cook.315
Jack served in the army in the 1914-18 war and lost the sight in his right eye
due to a mustard gas attack. This did not stop him being a very good baker &
pastrycook and he always carried out his trade. He had 3 shops of his own at
different times but
was not very successful in business.
Jack & Helena had 6 children.
Helena died of bronchitis in 1965.
Jack died of a brain haemorrage in 1969. About a year before he visited his brother
George's war grave in France.
