Henry COPPOCK was born before 27 May 1818 in Holborn Middlesex England.^23,89,90 He was baptized on 27 May 1818 in St.Sepulchre City of London Middlesex England.^4,91 He was living on 27 May 1818 in West Street, City of London, Middlesex.⁴ He appeared in the census in 1841 in 7 Easton Court Clerkenwell Middlesex London.⁵ In 1841 he was a Cordwainer.⁵ In 1851 he was a Shoemaker.⁹² In 1861 he was a Boot & Shoe Maker.⁹³ In 1871 he was a Cap Maker.⁹⁴ In 1881 he was a Hatter.⁹⁵ He died in 1885 in Hackney Reg.Dist. Middlesex England.⁹⁶ (December quarter)
The IGI gives Henry's parents as John & Mary Coppock, but there is a Henry, a Cordwainer, of the right age with John Thomas & Elizabeth Coppock in the 1841 Census. Henry's baptism record does indeed record his parents as John and Mary Coppock, but we suspect that Mary has been recorded in mistake for Elizabeth. However, Henry is here recorded with a mother with the name of Mary, unless it can be proved absolutely that his mother was indeed Elizabeth, despite the fact that he is shown with John and Elizabeth in the 1841 census.

Henry COPPOCK and Sarah THOMAS were married on 20 Feb 1842 in St.Giles Cripplegate City of London Middlesex England.⁹⁷ They appeared in the census in 1851 in 30 George Row, St Luke, Finsbury, Middlesex.⁹² They appeared in the census in 1861 in 40 Windsor Street, Hoxton, Shoreditch, Middlesex.⁹³ They appeared in the census in 1871 in 25 Eyre Street Hill, Finsbury, Middlesex.⁹⁴ Would have occupied an apartment - three other families lived at this address. They appeared in the census in 1881 in 25 Eyre Street Hill, Finsbury, Middlesex.⁹⁵ Sarah THOMAS was born about 1816 in Cripplegate City of London Middlesex England.^92,93 1851 census gives age 37.
1861 census gives age 45.
1891 census gives age 76. In 1881 she was a Map Maker.⁹⁵ She appeared in the census in 1891 in 31 Bautripp Street Homerton Hackney Middlesex England.⁹⁸ Widowed. In 1891 she was a Living on her own means.⁹⁸ She died in 1895 in Hackney Reg.Dist. Middlesex England.⁹⁹ There are several possible baptisms in the IGI and entires in the 1841 census.
