He appeared in the census in 1841 in Susannah Place, St John Horselydown, Southwark.³⁸ He was living in Mar 1845 in 7 Nutkin's Corner, Bermondsey, Surrey.⁴⁰ He appeared in the census in 1851 in 9 London Street, Bermondsey.⁴² (Recorded as Coppik.) Could have been a lodger or a lover. In 1871 he was a fishmonger in Rotherhithe, Surrey.¹³⁸ In 1881 he was a Waiter & Domestic Servant.¹³⁹ Head of house was a "beerhouse keeper", so George would have waited on those requiring food. He appeared in the census in 1881 in 31 Woolf Street, Bermondsey, Surrey.¹⁴⁰ He appeared in the census in 1891 in 29 Flockton Street, Christ Church, Bermondsey, London.¹⁴¹ In 1891 he was a costermonger in Bermondsey London England.¹⁴¹ He appeared in the census in 1901 in St Olaves workhouse, Lewisham, London.¹⁴² In 1901 he was a hawker in Lewisham, London.¹⁴² He died in 1907 in 19 New Church Street, St Olave, Bermondsey.^49,143 December quarter.
