12. Joseph Collier was born on 23 May 1783 in ?Marple. He died on 28 Apr 1855 in Woodley. He was buried on 3 May 1855 in Marple Ch.. He was a "yeoman". Stockport reg. says d. 28 April 1855, aged 71 years and bur 3 May1855, yeoman. Described at bapt. of dau. Frances (1822) as a bookkeeper, in 1825 as "weaver". Later manager of Ashton's cotton millsat Apethorn? and Woodley Lived at Spring Bank House, Woodley.

Joseph Collier and Mary Armitage were married on 31 Dec 1807. Mary Armitage was born on 6 Jan 1786. She died on 30 Mar 1862. Jane Armitage (b 11 Nov 1860) said b. Yorks; Mrs Clara Shanks saysb. Derbyshire. Family Bible says d. 30 March 1861, Stockport Reg. sysd 30 Apr 1862 aged 76. Stockport Burials say bur. 5 May 1862 "ofBredbury". Joseph Collier and Mary Armitage had the following children:

28	x.	Robert Collier was born on 30 Nov 1821. He was christened on 2 Jun 1825 in Stockport. He died on 25 Jan 1831. He was buried on 27 Jan 1831 in Marple. dropped and crippled as a child, died at 9yrs of "suppressedmeasles"!
